February 13 and 14, Fransk kulturhus and VINC* participated in the education fair TaUdanning in Lillestrøm. An opportunity to share the numerous opportunities related to French and entrepreneurship with middle school and high school students from Oslo, Østfold, Akershus, and Buskerud.

Varied skills to succeed in a globalised world

Agathe Tørris (VINC) and Magali Rouyer-Johnsen (Fransk kulturhus) were able to exchange ideas with these young people, their teachers, and guidance counselors about the expectations of the professional and economic world in which they will need to navigate.

While some youths were already aware of this dimension due to their background or experiences, others were realising it fully then. The entrepreneurial spirit and cultural and linguistic skills are essential assets for standing out and thriving, regardless of the field of study or profession chosen.

15 000 visitors in two days

Over two days, nearly 15 000 young people passed by the stand of VINC and Fransk kulturhus.

While Agathe encouraged them to pitch their ideas as part of the “Get Busy With Your Business” competition, Magali provided information about the official DELF-DALF and TCF exams, which allow for studying in France or in French-speaking countries (and validate scholarships from Statens Lånekassen), as well as educational resources. They were also invited to participate in the competition organised by Fransk kulturhus to win a French course in March-May.

In short, a rich and rewarding experience to be enjoyed again!
